Yes, Popupsmart is free on its Free plan. Its pricing page calls it a forever free plan and says no credit card is required. The plan allows 5,000 pageviews a month, 1 website, 1 live popup and 100 emails a month, with Popupsmart branding on the popups.

Popupsmart offers no trial of a paid plan: the forever free plan is how you try it. Its Facts for AI page calls the plan a free tier, not a time-limited trial. A pageview is a page load of your site, whether or not a popup shows, and a live popup is one that is switched on.

What the free plan includes: every trigger and integration

Popupsmart's pricing page ticks every trigger and targeting rule on Free: exit intent, timed, scroll and inactivity triggers, and targeting by page, new or returning visitor, traffic source, operating system, browser language, location and display frequency. Its 14 direct email and CRM integrations, Zapier and Make are ticked on Free too.

The 100 emails are the ones Popupsmart itself sends for you, such as an autoresponder to a new signup and notifications to yourself. Every one counts. With no email tool connected, signups stay in its Leads table, which exports to CSV, PDF or XLS. The other plans are in Popupsmart pricing.

What it leaves out: branding removal, analytics and a second live popup

Popupsmart says free-plan popups carry its branding, which is removed from Basic upward; the pricing page shows Unbranded on paid cards only. Analytics, custom fonts, custom CSS, team members and priority support are not on Free, and A/B split testing starts on Advanced.

You can build as many popups as you like but run one at a time, on one website. One popup can carry several triggers, such as exit intent and scroll, and it shows when whichever is met first. An exit offer and a separate signup form cannot both be live.

Popupsmart's home page lists limited AI access on Free, while its feature table starts Smart Mode with AI on Basic, so confirm with support before you count on an AI feature.

When the free plan stops being enough

Basic is $39 a month, billed monthly, or $32.50 a month, billed annually ($390 a year), as read on October 23, 2026. It covers 50,000 pageviews, 3 websites, unlimited live popups, analytics and no branding. Popupsmart's pages do not say what happens to a free site after 5,000 pageviews in a month.

Pick Popupsmart's free plan if 5,000 pageviews and one live popup cover your offer and you accept the branding.
