Popupsmart counts a pageview on every page load, popup or not, and says it meters total site pageviews, not popup impressions. Poptin meters monthly website visitors. Its plugin page defines a unique monthly visitor as anyone who visits one of your pages with its code in the last 30 days.
A visitor who opens several pages adds one pageview per page on Popupsmart and counts as one visitor on Poptin. Poptin's Shopify listing estimates 1,000 visitors at about 3,000 pageviews, which is Poptin's own figure.

Neither names a paid trial, and each keeps a free plan: Popupsmart's at 5,000 pageviews, Poptin's at 1,000 visitors. Popupsmart's free popups carry Popupsmart branding, and its Free plan needs no credit card.

Its Free card marks Unbranded with a cross, and the page describes Unbranded as removing the Powered by Poptin credit, so free popups keep that credit; only paid cards tick it. The page states no trial or refund terms.
